Privacy policy

Who we are
Plots & Places is a browser game operated by L88. This policy covers the site at pnpg.gg, the same pages on neolandlord.com, and the game itself, including the beta at beta.pnpg.gg.
Questions about this policy, or requests about your information, go to privacy@pnpg.gg.
This website
The page at pnpg.gg is a static coming-soon page. It does not ask you to create an account, it does not set cookies, and it does not run analytics. The only links are to the beta and to this policy.
Information the game collects
There is no username or password. The game recognizes a browser by a random device identifier that it creates on your first visit and stores in the browser’s local storage, together with a player id and a session token. That token lets the game server know which saved game to load. You can connect another device to the same player when the game offers that option.
While the beta asks for an invite, a new player also gives a name and an email address with their beta key. We store that name and email with the redeemed invite. An email address can be used only once.
The game server stores the progress of your player. That includes plots and buildings, currencies, reputation, cards, contractors, skills, objectives, banking, casino play, shops, donations, offers between players, notifications, leaderboard scores, the city you choose as your residence, and an avatar image if you set one. Leaderboard scores can be seen by other players.
The map is provided by Mapbox. Your last map position can be stored in local storage on your device. Loading the map and searching for a place sends that location or search text to Mapbox. Language, sound, and similar display preferences also stay in local storage on your device.
If you ask the in-game rules assistant a question, that question is sent to Google’s Gemini service so it can write an answer from the game’s public rules. Do not include secrets or information about other people in those questions.
When you connect, our hosting providers and the game server process ordinary technical data, including your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request, so the site and the game can be delivered and kept reliable.
How we use information
- To run the game and keep your progress.
- To recognize your device and resume your player.
- To run the beta invite list.
- To show the map, search, and leaderboards.
- To answer questions you send to the rules assistant.
- To keep the service working and respond to abuse.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and local storage
The coming-soon site does not use cookies. The game uses local storage in your browser for the device id, session, and preferences described above, rather than an account password. Mapbox and the hosting network may process technical data under their own policies when they deliver map tiles or web pages. See the Mapbox privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We use these providers to operate Plots & Places:
- Amazon Web Services, to host this website and related internet services. See the AWS privacy notice.
- Hostinger, which hosts the game server.
- Mapbox, for map tiles and place search.
- Google, for answers from the rules assistant. See Google’s privacy policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect players, L88, or the service.
How long we keep it
Gameplay information is kept while your player exists. A beta name and email are kept with that invite record. Information in local storage stays on your device until you clear the site’s data in your browser. Server and hosting logs are kept only as long as we need them to operate and protect the service.
Security
The website and the game are served over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that.
Children
Plots & Places is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to privacy@pnpg.gg and we will delete it.
Your choices and requests
You can clear local storage in your browser, which removes the device id and preferences stored on that device. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to object to certain uses. Email privacy@pnpg.gg and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
